Oh DARN I can not do that either, Getting fiber installed Wed and Thursday. Local phone company is turning off the copper based network at end of month.
It’s 2021. They should have melted the copper in the 2010s! haha
We are out of town this whole week, so any meetup would be less fun…
A rural phone coop. it’s a mile from my house to the next full time resident. They did run it by my house about 10 years ago but wanted a connect fee and charge more per month for same speed. They are now installing it free and 4x current speed for same price. Going from 12.5 to 50mb but 12.5 works fine for me. They are now scrapping the copper system wide.

We do run club in Durham Wednesday evenings and Orange Theory Thursdays. Not saying we couldn’t make exceptions, but those are recurring conflicts (along with Tuesday evenings at Bond Bros).
