Where are you getting that info? I would hate to lose Mami Nora’s, especially for a chain.
This is such a home run. Really hope the city goes all in on this.
Absolutely. Is this bad boy funded by the parks bond? I can’t recall.
Mami Nora’s is relocating to the old Courtney’s site.
In other news the new Targan headquarters project is wrapping up at the old Kroger in the next 30 days. It will soon house close to 200 new scientists and engineers who will be working out of the Midtown area in Raleigh’s first real Life Sciences project of this recent boom cycle.
That’s a good move in my opinion. Less likely to flood.
that was some good chicken and beans and rice
2 years ago next month, I wonder if the collaboration with Gym Tacos is still on the table.
And according to county records Cook-out had purchased the old Mami Noras building in March, so this sounds likely.
Wouldn’t that have been before Gym Taco setup their shop on Hillsborough St? So maybe they changed directions to that instead of a pizza collab with Mami Noras?
Cook Out has a site plan submitted to the city for that site. ASR-0033-2023
You know, a concept like Miami Subs would kill there…
Cookout shakes at the new Midtown Park? Sounds good to me
A cookout open at 3 am after Nuvo/Former Hawg Pen/etc. let out? Sounds dangerous
This just an example of what the Midtown Park could do to the area. Would completely change even the perception of a cook out being built.
So, every other 20-story apartment tower with a parking deck attachment, yeah. LOL
It’s the North Hills way.
…and the new Park City South towers, both nearly identical design as this LOL.
Capital Square or whatever the new South St tower is called is a similar layout but thank god at least has some interesting exterior design rather that this samey hodgepodge of blue glass/concrete/metal.
But more colors and textures of stucco = not boring and so cool.
Same architect as the 30-story tower for the Legends site as well.
Yall stepping up with the investment capital and construction loan guarantees for these 30-40 story buildings you seek?
The parking podiums alone will be 20 stories.
Homie nobody is even saying anything against 20-story buildings. Just the fact that they literally all look nearly identical. The two Park City south towers will almost look identical to each other and they’re across the street LMAO. I mean, I’ll still take what we can get, but I’m just curious when the hell the city is going to start stipulating less parking as a requirement. None of the built-in decks on any of these buildings are ever anywhere NEAR capacity.
