Thanks for this post, please keep us in the loop. And now it looks like I’m going to have to become a Nickelpoint fan. I have zero choice
So within short walking distance of Platform, there is now:
Vault beer
Nickelpoint
Crankarm
Tasty Bev
Rebus works
Heights House
Many spots to grab a bev!
It’s the West-End-Way.
*Wild * West End if you please
THE “WILD WEST END” FOR SURE. And getting wilder every day.
We even have camp fires!
Today the Nickelpoint Brewery renovation took a step forward with the replacement of the windows!! Get ready for this one to start popping.
When the workers are a dumpin’ - them hammers thar be thumpin’!
I tried.
I find these potties extremely useful on my long daily walks.
Me too for my bike rides!
I almost snapped a picture of this side the other day, but it looks like they cut out a bunch of the wall sections on this interior side. Fingers crossed for some big garage doors that can open up when the weather is nice!!
Might move back for this.
It’ll be done in 20 years when you move back. Perfect!
I didn’t want to mention 615 Peace…but I heard that the construction guys were in such demand that they moved over to Nickelpoint.
About a year ago it was also mentioned on the Raleigh Magazine podcast that Nickelpoint planned to rename to “Double Decker Brewing”. I heard the same the last time I went there and a lot of their merch was gone as they were planning a branding change. Still hasn’t happened yet, but I’m excited to see the renovations are moving along to this cell tower lot space.
For anyone interested in craft beer news around the Triangle - I started a subreddit (r/trianglencbeer) a couple years back with news/happenings in that world. Also have some maps pinned to the top of that page which show where all of the area’s breweries/taprooms & bottleshops are located.
Were the owners of Nickelpoint doing the renovation or was this an investor renovating and Nickelpoint moving in?
