No value judgment in my comment, only an observation.

It’s a giant selfie stick
Say what you will about Raleigh, I really like the way it lights up at night.

Can’t do anything about the glare from the window at DH Hill Library. Dabney Hall has a stairwell with unobstructed views but I can’t get in there at night.
Throwback Thursday to when the SECU building by the science museum was getting built (and I was new to Raleigh)
Proud of Raleigh. It only took them a million years to finish the project and have all the light bulbs working at the same time. But the bridge looks great with the artwork.
I believe this is NCDOT, no?
I believe so. Was more mentioning on how the city of Raleigh actually got a nice addition to the town and it wasn’t a cheap boring looking project like much of everything else.
I wish they had sourced locally for the artist though. There’s actually a decent amount of mural art around town that isn’t local and we certainly have the talent.
That said, as I’ve come around on having national brands downtown and not all local, I guess it’s good to have outside artists with their work in Raleigh. Brings more attention to our area.
Looks particularly good with the wet road.
You’re welcome. That took a lot of time with 1 garden hose running from Publix.
yeah, but the water is running downhill a bit. Don’t exaggerate your effort!
Yeah I can agree with that. All about supporting local artist and businesses.

I feel this view shows how important whatever goes on the lots in front of the Performing Arts Center should be.
This view drives home how lucky Raleigh is to not have freeways cutting scars all over its downtown like most US cities.
I’d love to have this on a t-shirt!
