From yesterday, drove past today as well and it looks like Aho is going on the side as well. Wish we could get more of these events because the Canes/Raleigh know how to put on an event.
Already grabbed 4 tickets to the game myself, it’s going to be a good time. I think Carter Finely lends itself to be a better viewing experience than some of the NFL stadiums and especially some of the baseball stadiums. It sits close to the field and about 10 feet off the ground.
Interested to see how the on-field seats will be oriented, I think we’ll be the first outdoor game to offer that.
Stadium Series may be a big draw around the US. I was surprised reading the Points Guys and one of the staffers mentioned using points to get to RDU from LA to watch the game.
It’s too bad we don’t have more events like this.
Beautiful day in R’wood. Is the crane to the left/west in The Village (nee Cameron) project?
No. Based on the angle it must be something near Glenwood Avenue between Oberlin and Crabtree.
the former Cottage Court apartment land - currently building Phase 1 (the retirement home) with those cranes, then on to a large 5-over-1 apartment building, then SFH and townhomes
Riiight, I forgot about that, thanks @Will and @Jake !! Fairview/Oberlin is a nice high point. Too bad they aren’t going taller there - you could have a nice view of DTR or NH.
Might be a better thread for this, but can’t find a museum thread. Beautiful day had the Art Museum packed inside and out. The museum is a gem, especially for being free.
Love this! We live so close and it’s honestly the best thing about living over here. We were gonna go to the reopening but my sprained ankle has put a damper on that. Feeling better now tho, so thanks for the reminder that we need to get over there again
You can always start your own thread on the topic!
I wonder when this was shot. There are no people. 3 am? That said, I like the night footage.
It constantly amazes me how green downtown is.
It also reinforces my desire to see the really tall buildings, if we get something 30 flr +, scattered and surrounded by lower buildings. Ideally I’d have everything step down to the squares. I just really dislike building canyons.
Thanks for positing! Watching Mexico City next!
