Wow, that’s freaking awesome! I bet if AT&T were still a monopoly they would do that. Course, they aren’t and we do don’t pay .35 a minute to talk on the phone. But life is trade offs I reckon.

I’d almost prefer it on the side of the 510 Glenwood deck that faces east towards SmoHo. Residents of The Line on West would get quite a show!

First I’ve seen the actual ‘Redhat’ words on the tower from this far away. Pretty cool! FNB looking sweet at this angle too.

I think that your above quote says it all. It’s about the higher angle of that view, as most are more taken at a “regular” height. IMO

Impressed that 301 Hillsborough is poking out from the view at Pullen Rd and the tracks. That project is going to make a dramatic impact from this angle!
Edit: I actually think that’s Tower Two at Bloc 83 in line with 301 from this angle.

Was there an event, or were they just trying to cheer folks up in these trying times?
Not sure, but doubtful there was any special events going on. We had left El Rodeo at 2200, and everything was pretty buttoned up by then. Rather festive given the sparse streetscape in DTR last night.
