Who needs to solve real problems when you can get your voters fired up over made up problems?
Don’t even get me started!
I’m so confused by this video! It’s computer generated coming out of PNC, right?
No they removed a piece of the building, added a hotel for the players to stay in, and installed a giant curtain just for the Chelsea bus to emerge from
Take note hopeful MSA combiners :
The Kenan study takes a different view of federal so-called Metro Statistical Area data that splits the Triangle in half. Dr. Cohen explains:
“Our own native region of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, NC illustrates this point. While the three cities are highly economically intertwined –and are even collectively referred to as the “Research Triangle” – they are disaggregated into multiple entities by the U.S. Census. Analyzing these cities separately thus fails to capture the extent to which these cities operate as one connected microeconomy.”

I mean, I’ve been gone a month so who knows what’s been going down around there! Glad to know they didn’t rip out Oro.
Not directed at Raleigh specifically but Raleigh gets a mention in the comments:

Have to admit I’m guilty as charged…
I don’t think these lists matter that much because of questionable methodology, but still good seeing Raleigh (and Durham) in the top 10 of a list like this. Most Educated MSAs.
Charlotte’s 52nd. Bless their hearts.
I’m pretty sure he still lives in London but he passes through Raleigh whenever he visits his parents who live somewhere else in NC.
In another of his videos he tested out a Tesla’s self driving feature in DT Raleigh which was pretty cool.
A few interesting things from this WSJ Article “The U.S. Cities With the Most Cutting-Edge Tech Workers.”
Raleigh-Cary, N.C. (no Durham) clocks in at #10 in the large cities list. Large cities were those with more than 25k tech workers. Ahead of Denver, Atlanta, Chicago, Miami and others. Just behind LA and Portland-Vancouver. Nashville (#17) and Charlotte (#20) were on the midsize cities list (5-25k tech workers).
The full report:
We fared less well (21st) in momentum (ie cutting edge tech growth).
This isn’t really Raleigh specific, but it impacts all of our taller downtown buildings.
I know very little about Cherry Berry, but I thought that was so odd when I moved here.
Ironically the Democrat running next year says he’d bring it back. If the Republican says he won’t, I might break the universe and vote for a Republican.

I don’t trust studies within the area I trust studies from colleges outside the region. I always disregard UNC studies, they can be biased to make Raleigh look good the way it is instead of meeting our potential.
Cherry Berry is a NC staple for having her picture on every elevator in North Carolina…
My reason for posting was the article notes the MSA disconnect often referenced on this site
This is an interesting graphic illustrating the housing completed this year and under construction around the country:

Edit: @dtraleigh could you move this to Raleigh in the news around the world. I forgot that chat existed lol
