The writer of the show is FROM Raleigh!!! Super cool! He also wrote the show based on his life (wife passed, became a single dad). I think they mentioned they might look into shooting certain parts in Raleigh someday, but yeah for now it’s all Hollywood and fake “local” spots. But apparently they’ve made sure to name things after Triangle landmarks, which is super cool.
Ah yeah, the movie Ant-Man had ‘Raleigh’ stamped on the safe box because the writer is Raleigh native.
and a Broughton Grad I believe.
Raleigh, top 10 healthiest? Gotta be from all the downtown dedicated bike lanes!
We have one of the highest cardiac arrest survival rates in the country. Don’t know if that was mentioned though
Must be because of all the HIIT participants.
idk where to put this, but the N&O has their $20 annual subscription sale going on. People are always talking about locked articles here so now’s your chance to support the paper at a very reasonable cost.
Where do you see that, all I see if still the $159 a year. That’s steep for limited (and often wrong) info and still so many ads hard to find the news. Get a heck lot more value for that from steaming video service.
$20 digital subscription was offered to be upon clicking an article. You can use AdBlock once you’re a subscriber.
Just afyi, yo can get around their paywall by reading articles in incognito mode in Chrome.
I bought mine last year on cyber monday for 19.99. I’ll renew it again at that price if offered. Right now I’m under my old subscription for a few more days so I haven’t seen these pop up offers.
I would be more than happy to pay for subscription but not at $159 a year. Some news services seem to think they are still in the per printed paper days. I do pay $255 per year for The Economist (weekly mag + digital) and it’s well worth it.
I buy print NY Times with the News & Observer, but I take them to my clinic and drop them off in the lobby. My patients love it (and I get all of the digital services)!
Do you get to write them off as a business expense, A little bonus?
I could, but I’ve never bothered.
CompTIA Tech Town Index 2019
looks like another case where Raleigh, Durham, Chapel-Hill being split may have hurt ranking Would be interesting if somehow could see and RTP ranking that included all 3 cities.
LOL I missed that, need more COFFEE !!!
