Raleigh Stadium/Arena/Sports Discussions

The man has been “rebuilding” to no success for 4 years… face it, he has absolutely zero idea what he’s doing and simply tanking the franchise into the ground with no long-game plan.

Yeah, I don’t really care one way or the other -Just noting the ‘system’ and its financial realities dictate the race to tear it all down which resembles the lack of vision in play at times around mindful development

Oh most of the time, yes absolutely! I just have NO faith whatsoever in Tepper being “mindful” - just a shame because, Charlotte or not, the Panths are Carolina’s NFL team and my adopted “home” team. And those Cam Newton/Ron Rivera years were truly something special… :smiling_face_with_tear:

Panthers are not Raleigh’s team since Tepper put MLS in Charlotte USA. I am no fan of soccer but there are a lot of pseudo euro types around here that would have supported it. I enjoy the Panthers downfall, ensures no new stadium deal, and then the Panthers will pack up and move to Mexico City.

It’s funny to see how CFC fans seem to be high on their own supply and actually see the season as a huge success as it was the best expansion showing in MLS history. Funny thing is that all the people I know who are CFC fans aren’t Panthers fans and can look the other way.

A friend who is a major Atlanta United supporter loathes CFC for taking their single-game attendance record and for the general attitude their fans have had.

Figured you all could be helpful here. Going to my first NC State football game Thursday night. Where is the best place to park or way to get there?

I would take Hillsborough to Youth Center Dr and park at one of those houses. I think it’s $20-$25.

Haha. The justice center had cranes up in 2010 so this is easily over 12 years old. Come on.

Ral_Mag with a PNC update Insta_Teaser…Not sure if the comments are visible in the screen shot but, first two lament the lack of downtown arena and the third laments the cost of parking…

TBJ says Kane has joined onto the Swing project here as an investor and there’s a 2024 opening date FWIW. Feel like this project has been in the works for years so who knows?

Going to try driving to tomorrow’s State game instead of Ubering like I usually do - I know people in this thread have mentioned parking at Wade Park as the “secret” best spot.

How early should I get there, and where in the complex do you park? Or do you have other recommendations?

We usually park outside of Bru’s Public House along the street if you get there early enough (an hour, maybe more) then give yourself 15-20 minutes to walk over to the stadium.

you can park at @GucciLittlePig place. I hear he only charges $100.

Park anywhere on either side of the street here:

The path for the tunnel is here:

Since it’s a 3pm game against Louisville you could probably get there around 12 or 1 and still find parking.

It’s a 330pm kickoff vs BC.

Your right sorry, I saw next week mistakenly. But same difference, BC and Louisville bring the same amount of crowd following. In other words it’s not UNC or Clemson game, you shouldn’t have much trouble with parking.

BC is the final home game of the season.

It is a possible ‘break the record’ game for the home win streak tho, right…?
