Nothing like a smiling sun to strike fear into your opponents
Then I’d say we should push for a completely nonsensical/original name. The Raleigh Renegades or something. I will say… as much as I’d love a “Raleigh” named team… The Carolina Copperheads idea still takes the cake, for me.
Ok how about the Raleigh Researchers?
The Raleigh Grays? They were a negro league team that played back in the 30’s-40’s, at Shaw’s field and Chavis Park.
I’m still a big fan of the Raleigh Reapers, but I like this one a lot if the Rays move here.
The mascot can be a tube of sunscreen.

“Future NBA, NFL and SEC” spaces… this interesting in a mysterious way.

Maybe this developer will be making a pitch for that?
Los Angeles doesn’t have many Lakes and Utah isn’t a mecca for Jazz. It would be fine.
It’s just a random insta reporting what we’ve already seen from the article and the developer’s website. That site doesn’t have the transit infrastructure for any pro or high-level college team.
I can assure you there is NO movement here in Charlotte for a baseball team. I am rooting for Raleigh to get it. We have 3 major league teams now with MLS NFL and NBA.
