John , I have not heard any update about this in a year , but a year ago Memphis was going to do a DowntownSouth type of project downtown .
Clearly by how people are voting with their feet, Memphis is a very risky investment. I don’t think that there’s much validity to a “build it and they will come” strategy for that city. The reason it makes sense for Raleigh is that people have come and continue to come in large numbers.

A downtown arena would be a game changer. I still think the government owned plot of land south of Seaboard Station with nothing but hideous state buildings on it right now would be ideal (formerly where the NCFC stadium was proposed).

I think that logo is fine. Colors match the Panthers, and it looks pretty classy. And IMO “minted” instead of “established” is clever.

I hate those three letters as an abbreviation for Charlotte. Perhaps I’m old school NBA or something, but Cha has a nice ring to it. The other, well, doesn’t.
