From what I’ve been told, there’s 8 weeks worth of hazmat abatement in this warehouse

The only thing visible here are new barriers along West St. Nothing really interesting yet except to say they’re definitely working!

The first pic is a great example of just how much of a street-level impact this project could have if it is truly given the ample retail space that is promised - imagine once all the Dillon retail spaces are full, then this - could actually become Raleigh’s first legit retail corridor.

Very true.
There’s also a real possibility that the retail corridor you mention could extend from SmoHo on the north to The Depot on the south along both West and Harrington.

I guessing that demo will soon start probably in three weeks the old building is tear down or 4 weeks
I’m afraid it will take quite a bit longer than that, Pedro. Asbestos removal and other site preparation has to be done.

No tear down; they will be saving as much of the existing facade as possible. I believe there may be one stretch that will be demo’d for the new building to front the street, but AFAIK they are building the new tower out of the existing facade much like the Dillon.
