How is Campo Taco I am big Tex Mex eater? These look good and is there retail parking in the decks of the apartment buildings?

I am a fan. Prices are very reasonable. Menu was inclusive. My daughter is a Mexican food snob and while not her favorite, it ranks high. Drinks were good. Atmosphere was great and the service was outstanding. I live close and will be a regular visitor. Plenty of free parking in the adjacent building.

Yeah we just finally made it over here and thought everything was great. Had the ACP with steak and chicken, the enchilada sampler, and 2 huge margaritas plus chips and salsa. 50 bucks. Great staff and a lovely open space. I hope this place does really well.

That’s not an insignificant amount of food for $50, these days. I feel like no matter where we go, me and the Mrs. end up blowing $50 even for (what should be) cheap takeout lol. Will have to check this out.

I thought there were plans for a pedestrian bridge connecting this to the greenway across the creek? Or am I misremembering?

is this the Campo Taco place? Tacos and Tex Mex is my go to food. I will be in Raleigh in a few weeks. And what about parking?

I went to Campo Taco last night as well. Portions were pretty generous for the price and the food was good. They don’t seem to have a very good door for outdoor dining as they were using the front door to go around to tables to the side and behind the building, but hopefully they get that sorted out soon. @kjhburg parking should not be an issue, you can park in the Rockway deck next door and get free parking for 2 hours.

Yes, in the renderings and site plan they had a bridge over the creek. I havent been on that greenway in a while so not sure what happened with it.

I will be eating here for lunch at Campo Taco on yall’s recommendations tomorrow around 1145 am if you are interested in meeting up. (just dont take all the free parking) Ask for “KJ” if you see someone there standing around. Is this a sit down restaurant or order at the counter?

It is sit down and they also have some seating outside.

Maybe I will sit outside if it is shaded some.

You better bring a flashlight because, as we learned from Livable Raleigh, you won’t be able to see in the shade.

I’ll be there closer to 11 am now Im worried about the tall shadows from downtown and the Weld.

Very good when I mentioned putting my lunch on @GucciLittlePig tab a loud Spanish discussion took place which ended in the bill being promptly delivered to me. Yall need much taller buildings to shade their tables.

It was really good and parked in the shadows of The Weld towers.

YUM - they do have some good food. And the shadows. You did such a good job capturing those. A+
