Queen City of Amusement getting a new HQ
Interesting to see Wroclaw here - I used to live there. The bus component of the mall is in the aerial photo dead center foreground, ticketing is on ground floor (basically the size of a large storefront in the mall) and concourse is basement level accessible from ticketing area only. There is also an ongrade connection if you go outside across the street to the main train station in town, so there are multimodal aspects as well.
Yep the Rockies World Series aspirations are mixed use.
Raleigh has an architectural history…Kamphoffer, Harmon etc. wee bit of Polymath park and kentuck knob in SW PA.

That looks a bit Frank Lloyd Wright(ish). Good stuff.
Harmon was one of my professors. That makes me feel old!
Ditto. I loved my architecture class at State.
Go Durm Go…
New complete street in Boston (Tremont Street):
From separated bike lanes, raised crosswalks, to bus islands, this is what Glenwood Ave should look like.
From a friend visiting, city hall in Madrid. Can we maybe try this for ours, since the original plan already got scaled back? It doesn’t have the height, so the shadows would be less.
I was blown away by Madrid when I visited. I had zero expectations and was happily surprised!
Just a reminder, the Downtown Cary Park opening is Sunday. Not only will we be there, but so will Garry from Parks and Rec.
Are the Israelites from Moore Square coming also? Not a party or a real park without them…
Looky here…SOM spent time and energy to refurbish Lever House in NYC…
Celebrating (only) 20 stories of history…
What a great building, glad they fixed it up.
