The new Raiders stadium in Vegas is quite something. I’m told the field is actually 100’ below ground level. This is going to be a gorgeous stadium when done.
Lol why’d you post this if you don’t like it And we have two food halls already, each better than that one.
Where are the other ones? Outdoor area of optimist was done well, I just though the indoor area was not thought out. More communal areas not do much benches and small eating areas in coves.
I wonder how many of these identical buildings exist?
When my mother moved from Cary to California in the ‘70s, they lived in that hotel for 6 weeks. She said it was a reminder of home.
There’s also the Charleston one. I’m assuming any Holiday Inn built in the late 60s, early ‘70s that is still around looks similarly. Feels like a Mad Men episode where the tag line dictated building design, “It’s the round one!”.
Syracuse has a similar round one. At some point it switched from a Holiday Inn to a Crowne Plaza.
The Skyhouse of the 60’s/70’s.
There is also one in the New Orleans metro…it isn’t in NOLA itself, but one of the surrounding cities, can’t remember which one.
Maybe in Metarie? That would make the most sense to me.
Found this @OakCityDylan…(look at the top)
That’s from the Google Street View app. I did one from the other side of the building that’s gotten 160k views. Not sure how these links will work:
East side of SkyHouse at sunrise.
And the one you posted, from the west side:
I love Long Beach. One of the most dense, walkable, and interesting cities in SoCal.
There’s one in Los Angeles!
Hotel Angeleno. How could I forget, it’s by the 405 below the iconic Getty Museum.
