I had to move to a community of older people to feel young.

I’m guessing it’s because they were sold out of lift tickets for the month of February? Unless you have a season or Ikon Pass, they’re placing a limit on day-of ticket sales. You’re welcome to use my Ikon pass for the weekend, that is unless I’m already up there or using it somewhere else (Jackson, WY Feb 24-28).

Either way if you’ve never been to Snowshoe, even if it’s next season, you need to plan a trip. It is extremely underappreciated for the east coast, the Western Territory side has runs over 1.5 miles long. It can sometimes be a fickle game with the weather up there so hawk the forecast, and plan accordingly.

Whoah! Thanks Drew! Yes, we pivoted to the Florida Keys when lift tickets sold out. Snowshoe is awesome. I’ve been as a teen and my only fresh powder skiing experience was there. I read an article recently about how the snow at snowshoe tends to be better quality powder than Vermont.

Not sure if anyone saw these…Don’t be triggered, public access likely scaled way down consider AMZ approach in SEA plus what’s gone down at the Vessel lately. I’m sure they’ll do a study…

I just logged on to post this story!
Here is the CNBC story on this building.

Looks like a pretty neat building, at least its distinctive!

Yeah, I like it! Glad they didn’t pick Raleigh, it would never get approved!

The Helix building looks awesome. Would have been awesome if Raleigh had gotten part of HQ2 and some forward looking architecture like this.

One shot shows this on the water, and the other shows it in the middle of a city…

Could be creative liberty with renderings but, Arlington is adjacent to the Potomac…?

cool building. LOL at the creative license on the waterfront setting.

Here’s where they want to build it (intersection of 12th street South and Eads St). It’s next to 395 freeway across from the Pentagon on the edge of Pentagon City/Crystal City. The river is not too far away, but you have to around the airport to get to it LOL

Speaking of HQ2, Microsoft announced that they’re taking Amazon’s playbook and did basically the opposite. They’re planning to work with residents in Atlanta’s neglected Grove Park neighborhood to create a data center, development hub, and community/local amenities like affordable housing and a skills-training center.

Better than Apple’s approach of blueballing the Triangle.

I just am so excited I wanted to share. I am here 2 to 3 times a week. I miss being so close to the one in Raleigh.

Raleigh-based Highwoods Properties is more invested in Richmond than its home city.

Meanwhile how long has that gravel parking lot by Skyhouse existed?

Highwoods can develop all the sprawl corporate campus crap in Richmond that they want. It seems to be their comfort zone. No thanks.
If they don’t want to develop vertically in our downtown, then they should sell the gravel lot to someone who does.

what is that saying? Crap or get off the pot? I can understand why some folks/corporations hold on to property for their “eventual” value, but it is frustrating. My small college town has a handful of folks who own most of the land. They are willing to sell if you give them Auburn or Tuscaloosa prices - college towns that have exploded in the last few years. Thing is, we aren’t either of those places. We could be, but not if land sits empty. The value might be there one day, but then it might never be.

Just saw where Dram & Draught will be coming to Fenton.
