Thank you for sharing!
I am missing a lot apparently as I had no idea Greensboro had this kind of activity. Great for them!
To each their own!

Noticed these in Wilmington last time I was there:
Is nowhere safe from the pedal bars?!
Charlotte will get funding for a transit hub in downtown Charlotte including an underground bus station. An underground bus station with tunnels is what I want in Raleigh eventually.
Oh, you are sooooooooooooo in trouble…"UPTOWN!
Great news for Durham. They’re receiving some funding for the Durham Beltline!
They will receive 9 million from this grant they applied for.
I think this was the place Epic Games was originally going to expand into before they pivoted towards the Cary mall? Looks like it’s going to be a car dealership…again
This was not where epic was moving.
What does this entail in terms of location, timing, etc? First I’ve heard of it, but I suck at keeping track of Durham stuff compared to Raleigh. I’m interested tho!
I honestly can’t think of anything scarier than the sound of an underground bus station in Charlotte. Lol
You sure? This is what I remember from 2019? Unless I’m getting my crossroads Ford’s mixed up? I know they’ve moved a couple times over there? Or if I needed to clarify, this is where they were originally going to expand?

Here’s the map. I can’t find much on timing but I’d assume todays news will greatly start to shape the timeline.

That may have been where they were moving a few years ago. More recently they had planned to build on the lot full of trees surrounded by Dillard, Jones Franklin and Crossroads Blvd, which is right by their current buildings.
Oh wait, is this like a rail or bike thing then? I was thinking of a highway like the Raleigh beltline. I’m so in the dark lol
Edit: okay @GucciLittlePenguin did the smart thing and actually looked it up. So it’s old railways being converted to Greenway essentially. Very cool. I’ve seen a few examples of that back up North in recent years and they’ve been such a benefit for everyone!
Lol you were not the only one thinking that.
“PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project includes design and construction of an approximately 1.76 mile long multi-use trail in an abandoned Norfolk and Southern rail bed. It will connect pedestrians and cyclists from North Durham to the Ellerbe Creek Trail network, and to Downtown. The trail will also pass through the South Ellerbe Stormwater Project.”
It sounds like they’re converting old rail lines to a Greenway trail.
