East side/Harrington St coming right along!

It looks like that side will not be covered by the apartments, then?

That’s right. They’ll have a facade for the garage on that side.

The wood trim details are looking good!

Nice. Now that building’s really starting to pop.
Wonder what rents are going to be there…

$1,600 - $5,000
:astonished:

That’s insane. For $5,000/mo they better have robot servants assigned to every apartment.

If you think about it, if it’s a 800 sqf apartment at roughly $2/sqf, that’s $1,600. For a 2,300 sqf apartment, that’s nearly $5,000. The larger ones also have upgraded chef kitchens, etc.

An family members wonder why I do not move back to Raleigh. :exploding_head::rofl:

What day is it? Three pics this week. First, current view of SmoHo followed by a zoomed in picture that shows what I am guessing is a sample of the Miral that will be on the parking deck of SmoHoOh. Third pic is last week’s R-Dub post.

On the Phase 1 garage, it looks they’re working on the screening panel installation for the front (not pictured) and backside:

And the side:

maybe someone over weekend can walk over and take a close up of it. Just a blotch on my screen.

Between myself, @GucciLittlePig and @OakCityDylan I bet we can make that happen.

Still looks like the office building is going to be similar to phase 1 height. I’m guessing that they stopped at 9 floors because the zoning was DX12 and up to 150 feet. So, let’s say that 9 floors was at 150 feet. If we divide 150 by 9, we get 16.67 ft per floor. If we multiply 16.67 by 40 floors, we get about 667 ft. It would be reasonable to think that we could get a commercial tower this tall in the future when the heights are eliminated from the 40 floor zoning.

You don’t have to live in a $5000 apartment tho

I can give it a shot. I’d like to get down there this weekend. I’ll be incognito in a loaner car tho.

(What if this it the actual mural… Much smaller than I had hoped for.)

No but even a cheep one in Raleigh is more than my cost now. And hard to replace this view in Raleigh (from living room at sunrise)

The mini mural is too tiny and far away through the construction fencing to get a decent picture.

Did take these tho.

I tried too unsuccessfully. It is basically a bunch of colorful circles that look like those huge lollipops when we were kids. Oh, when I was a kid.

We only had digital lollipops when I was a kid…
