Great pictures!! They showed off such detail. j/k
That gym will look brand new in 8 months!!
how did you get this tour??? nice
Just happened to be walking by, looked in a window, and someone came out and offered. This has happened a surprising number of times to me with downtown projects, actually!
Same here. They want to show off their project!
The view from likely my new studio apartment at The Line! I was sold on the west facing views of Glenwood South and being right next to Publix and above Smoky Hollow.
Another line sized project could easily be built across the street. I’d like to see it happen.
Congrats! I like your view and hope this is super enjoyable experience for you!
Nope, no thanks, not on the other side of West Street. That’s where High Speed Rail will go - conceivably within 10 years. Nothing more than temporary uses (and interim rehabs of existing buildings that can be amortized over 10 years) should go there.
I am just waiting for some developer to propose something there (so I can anguish over it) but so far it seems people are seeing the writing on the wall: leaving empty lots empty and going for modest renovations where it makes sense.
When High Speed Rail does get built, I hope they will do it right: build it as a viaduct with retail spaces underneath.
You wouldn’t happen to have an example picture or rough design/drawing of how that could look…? ![]()
Train watching is going to be spectacular!
We’ve discussed 'em before, in this thread.
But aside for that and what @Drew posted, there’s boutique stores in the cobblestone arches of London,…
…as well as tons of bars and restaurants!

…including a club, apparently.
Love that. I was hoping that there could be some small stores under the new Capital bridge over Peace St. Alas, no…
Thank you! Super excited, putting my application in today.
Maybe each arch could be a movie screen?

it would work in these pandemic times
you sure you’re not on the fence??
