Picture for reference! Hard to tell since it wasn’t completely dark yet.
I didn’t get a picture of the East side of the bridge, but both sides of the Peace St bridge art is installed.
A Thanksgiving merical!!
Curious how long it will take until it’s all light up too
I’ve got some extra Christmas lights. Can we guerilla urbanist this thing?
Looked like staging for the install on the Wade bridge was beginning today as I passed through…
A little update that I think we already knew, and a bit of an explanation on the delay.
I like this design, its got a very art deco/nouveau feel to it. However, I do not see anything that reminds of me oak trees or pigeon house creek.
I kind of feel like we could have gone “local” with the artist…
Speaking of delays, anyone know when construction will start on all of the restaurants at SH? They all still say ‘coming Spring 2022’, but the yoga place is the only one that has had movement.
Completely agree about the oak trees. Maybe we have to be hip artists to get it?
Though I can see it becoming a Pigeon House once pigeons start nesting there, so close enough there…
Dose Yoga is opening January. From what I’ve heard a few of the other places may start construction in January/February and open in May/June.
Just some fun info, I have been seeing the evolution of phase 3 and they are getting closer and closer to a preferred design. I can say the plan includes a ~20 story office tower and a ~32 story residential tower with retail and other amenities on the base of each. Unfortunately I can’t share the photos I’ve taken but I sincerely believe it will be worth the wait.
Creamery project basically? lol Well, don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. 32 floors is better than none.
is there something magic about 32 story buildings seems see that number a lot? Cost, design, RFD?
Nice!
So 32 floors residential will likely be around 380’ - 400’
Wanted to see a 40 story office tower here but honestly two towers is great. A large residential tower makes a lot of sense here and a 20 story office will still be sizeable as well.
Would be cool if they combined the residential and office towers into a single tower. Lots of reasons that will not happen, but it’s nice to dream.
Question since you seen early designs, based on what you have seen so far which do you like better the Creamery design or Smoky Hollow Phase III ?
In my speculative opinion I think SH 3 will be more glassy than creamery.
