Well Smoky Hollow phase 3 hasn’t been planned or built yet, so it can’t be in the running for tallest building. Did they say what height it will be, or am I missing something? I’d just like to see some movement on the next phase(s) soon.

Despite what Kane says, I have yet to see proof that the penthouse residence at The Eastern is higher than the penthouse at PNC.
36 floors of residential isn’t automatically taller than 33 floors of mixed use.
FWIW, Kane’s view from The Eastern will only get better when he builds SH3, so there is that motivation.

Not sure. But I hate brand names with directional names (North, east, south, and west) there’s so many of them and it’s boring, generic, and gets confusing as they all mix together.

I feel like almost all of the new buildings/apartment complexes are something generic like a direction, street name, address, or reference to either oaks or Walter Raleigh. Why not make something at least different, like The Jessica? Or, The Betty White Tower, where $10 of each tenant’s monthly rent will be donated to the SPCA in perpetuity?

Don’t love the name “The Eastern,” but there is no (or maybe, less) window for controversy when you name something after a direction and not a person.
