South Street Area Condos and Townhomes

I wonder how many neighboring nimbys are preemptively pissed about smelling smoke.

I get a whiff of Sullivan’s when the wind blows the right direction. The only thing that bothers is my wallet because it makes me make a reservation!

Yeah, I can’t imagine myself being angry about smelling delicious BBQ all the time, but who knows what other people are bothered by.

I smell the Krispy Kreme whenever the wind blows from the north and I love it. Especially when they’re making the jelly filled.

The Pit isn’t that far from this location, so people in this neighborhood have already been getting whiffs of that on occasion for quite awhile. I haven’t heard any complaints so far.

I don’t think you understand this neighborhood all that well. Unless people in the new townhomes are complaining already or people in the Fairweather are preemptively complaining, I can’t see this being an issue. Most people I talked to are excited for this to be in the neighborhood.

I guess I’m just a little sour by how it only seems to take one especially vocal opponent to slow down progress, even when there are dozens of proponents advocating for it. Just me projecting my frustration where it probably doesn’t belong.

Folks, I don’t know if that is the situation and was just taking a stab at putting 2 and 2 together. If anyone knows for sure please weigh in. I don’t want to trash the neighbors over something that may not be true.

Sam Jones said this is still happening but they ran into some unexpected delays.

The Vault is also still happening.

In this case, being Raleigh, it’s expected delays. 6 months minimum.

This is great on both fronts. I can’t wait for both of them to open.

@dtraleigh
Should this be a new topic? The plans were just submitted to the wire.

I think it works here “South Street area” condos and townhomes title change.

OK - Looks like the South Street Condos (611 W South Street) might finally be coming back. It’s been rebranded as The Lynde - and they look nice! https://www.thelynde.com/

I for one and excited to see these move forward.

Rooftop Entertainment Area. City Council is losing their minds as we speak.

Fortunately for Crowder and the like, it just looks like more of a hangout area, similar to what it seems the Fairweather will have, not so much like “club” entertainment (darn).

Good maybe they’ll stop blocking the street with their construction fences within the next year or so.

I like the pricing in the mid $300’s. So many projects are $500k and greater.

Mid 300s will bee the starting price for one bedroom units. I expect to see very little under $400K.

OMG, please let this be a sign of forward motion! That site has been an eyesore for long enough. And I really miss the sidewalk!

I expect these would be snapped up very quickly with front door access to Dix.
