Status planned mixed/use development pipeline

I believe you want to catch up on this thread. South Park Neighborhood - Warehouses, Old Greyhound, and Cargill Site

Funny how 6 months ago, it appeared (at least to me) that Union West was about to go vertical. Hammell Drive (The Weld) now looks to be the next tower starting up. Possibly followed by Vela or 330 W Hargett?

Excited about the Weld and 330. Not sure if the renderings have been updated but the initial plans look to make 330 W Hargett, 355 feet tall.

This would become the 4th tallest in the entire city (North Hills included, The Eastern is 354ft tall) - until the RUSbus tower goes up!

IF the RUSBUS tower goes up! :smiling_face_with_tear:

It will - kinda has to at this point, given they have officially started and thus secured their federal funding. If it ultimately fails and doesn’t get built - they will have lost more money than if they build it and have to sell it off at a loss (which, given that it’s a transportation hub + tons of residential, I don’t think is even possible). So, regardless of the pace, I feel confident RUSbus will happen … eventually.

Funny what we thought was about to happen 17 months ago. Should we guess/vote again? (choose up to 3)

Next 20+ story projects to start construction:

  • Union West (RUS Bus)
  • Highline Glenwood (Creamery)
  • Weld Phase 2
  • Salisbury Square
  • Omni
  • 330 W Hargett
  • 300 Hillsborough (Klimpton)
  • 201 Hillsborough (Convexity)
  • Vela
  • Other?
