Looking like a city…
is this still the chic-fil-a headquarters ???
Them: @GucciBigpig isn’t real, they can’t hurt you.
Dad???
Can we get some new pics
WHAT IS GOING ON IN HERE??? EVIL CLONE ACCOUNTS NOW??? @dtraleigh WE ARE UNDER ATTACK!!!
We’ve been under attack for months. Keyboards’ caps lock keys refuse to cooperate apparently, signaling the technology uprising.
Jajajajajaka don’t make everyone want to see mew pics not just me
That parking lot would be a perfect spot for a 500 ft tower
According to my calculations, this only has 2 more stories to go, above the one they’re starting columns for in this picture. This thing is gonna top out before 400H, which is pretty ironic after it’s agonizingly slow start. It is like 7 stories shorter, to be fair.
The site of future tower.
I think they just had to do a lot of grading work at this site due to the topography. Once they went vertical, it flew by.
We can always want more with downtown developments. Higher, denser, more mixed use, CONDOS. I really like this addition though as it’s adding to our hotel room count. I have some ex-coworkers that are in town and while the office is DTR, they’re in North Hills at the AC Hotel because the AC Hotel on Glenwood was 2x the price. Also, adding to the hotel room count will increase the desirability of the Raleigh Convention Center and what kind of events it will attract. Long term play, but we’re making progress!
I really hope we see more hotels be built on that block in the next few years and hopefully a mixed-use building will replace that parking lot.
Nice infill. Nothing special, but clearly better than the nothing that was there before. And I’ll take anything that blocks any portion of that ugly ass jailhouse from view.
