Still enjoying these shots of its progress before it’s fully ugly.
This just got posted. No more red brick facade???
For those who don’t have IG, here’s the rest of the post as well.
Less chick-fil-a-y…
Replaced the Garden Inn with a “Tempo by Hilton,” which is more chic and upscale - the new colors match that brand better: Tempo by Hilton
Excuse my naivety but wut the hell is a dual brand hotel? Seems like the Taco Bell-KFC of lodging. You can get a Hilton bed with Homewood suites Pillow? Homewood soap and Hilton Robe? Or it’s like economy vs biz class.
“Sir, you’re zone 4, you’ll need to wait for the Homewood receptionist”
Maybe we downgraded from Chic Fila to TB/KFC…

So I stayed in this one in Phoenix relatively recently. The exact mix varies, but basically some of the public spaces and amenities are used by both brands, but the room floors are purely done up as one brand or the other. As I recall, this one even had split check-in counters in the same lobby.
Wow that’s quite the improvement! I guess Leo is justified now in removing the Chick-fil-A Hotel title I keep putting for this thread.
Tempo, Hilton’s 18th brand, is “an approachable lifestyle brand curated to serve a growing segment of ‘modern achievers’ who seek a hotel experience that reflects their ambition.”
It is the second one though, Raleigh is ‘groundbreaking’…Pizza Hut and Taco Bell, WhUt !?
Lol it was always going to be dual branded, and it’s a relatively common thing for some hotels. Just two brands in different areas sharing the building. It’s odd though to me because they always seem like 2 similar, generic type of brands that I feel like could’ve just been narrowed down to one or the other.
I like your concept better though!
Now, that song is ssstttuuuuccckkkk…
HEY! I don’t hate this? OK??? What is happening
If only Kane could take a page out of their book and change up the color scheme of the Platform…
So we have two dual branded hotels coming into DTR now? This one and the one being built near the McDonald’s on Wilmington? It’s name is I’m not remembering off the top of my head…Tru something I think.
h2 / Tru…? character/s
See the convention center expansion is spurring a lot of hotel it’s exciting.
I’ve stayed in many dual branded hotels that separate lobbies, bars, restaurants, etc. I usually don’t use hotel pools or gyms so I can’t comment on those being shared. I’m too busy on business to treat a hotel as anything more than a place to sleep and eat breakfast.
huh?? I’ve stayed in a hotel or 2 and not once did I choose a brand based on my ambition…
Maybe you aren’t ambitious enough… I stay at the hotels of the rich person I would like to be.
I’m a Choice Hotels member…
Who gets the choice, you or the hotel?
