To be fair, and it’s only specific to this location, once the Acorn opens up, I don’t think they will ever look back. I want to be clear that I am in support of what you say, but I’m heartened that they have customer base with the apartment next door, so that increases their survivability.
We went 3 times this weekend and I don’t even drink caffeine. Each time it was full of people, they badly needed the outdoor space too.
I’m loving the outdoor space and its possibilities! That could be a really nice space for 9+ months a year.
Lots of trucks and tools being moved out today. Website still has availability starting on the 16th of this month. Sounds like leasing is still planning on being started this week.
I don’t expect that we’ll start to see it fill up until around summertime. 400H is still mostly empty.
Scratch that. Last night they changed the date to March 8th on the site. Was really hoping they’d open up the sidewalk today.
Platform is also still mostly empty, though there are some new residents. It takes time.
I’m hearing April 1st now. 2024 or 2025?
Little Native Coffee next door hours are now 7-5. They are planning to be a wine bar in the evenings in the future.
I am so happy. Unfortunately, I had to cancel both of my walks today. Mini firedrill at work this morning and a date right after work ended. I’ll definitely walk that route tomorrow.
well, how did the date go??
Jake: asking the important questions.
Date questions aside, it appears the Acorn is officially open for leasing. Their site says ‘Available Now’ on most floorplans and they’ve got a big ol’ banner. Welcome to downtown Raleigh Acorn and (future) Acorn residents!
I don’t love the mural haha
I actually hate it. It’s hokey.
i wouldn’t use hokey, i would use drab. it’s more of a still life painting than a mural
The painting could come together once those vines start creeping up the metal grate wall on the parking deck side… Well, assuming they’re planning to plant vines there, of course…
this could be the opportunity we’ve been looking for
Those look like Gardenias. Not vines.
