The Alexan, 401 West Lane Street

Sounds like I need to drive through downtown again one day later this week  :building_construction:

Wow!!! How many cranes are currently standing in downtown/surround area?? Gotta be the most at one time at any point in Raleigh’s history, no???

It seems like just yesterday that the community was lamenting that cranes were coming down across downtown and that we wouldn’t have any in the sky.

Are the folks :100:'ing my comment indicating that there are currently 100 CRANES in the sky??? I was way off from my count!!!

We’re well beyond Charlotte, we’re turning into Dubai-on-the-Neuse

Guess I was not the only reader in the sauce yesterday. :beers:
I am excited for this building, and that Trammel Crow is doing it.

I really feel like a 7-over-2 with a large entertainment space would fit well in this area of town. A Dave & Buster’s concept or multi-level movie theater is needed.

Let’s take this one step further: A Dave & Busters concept AND multi-level movie theater!!!

It appears I’m way late to the party on this one, but it’s the first time I’ve seen this crane. In my defense I’ve been travelling a bit.

Does anyone know what they are going to do with the left over wedge of the property by the tracks?

GoTriangle owns the land, and seems to have allowed them to use it as a staging area.

I hope they start to activate their land around there - the abandoned warehouses across Harrington are a real psychological wall walking over from the east.

Hopefully at LEAST some pedestrian connectivity between the two streets - isn’t there supposed to be some retail along the tracks? Or is that just along the street?

Thanks for these!!! It’s never to late for drone footage.
The last shot really brings home how much this corridor has grown.
