this one is going to be all/mostly brick, right?
From @mike’s earlier post - mostly might be a stretch:
on design but
for density!
Oh, but VERY attractive looking, nonetheless. WAY better than the surrounding apartment buildings (Metropolitan / Link).
If that’s truly ground floor retail and it’s occupied within the first 12 months of CO, this building definitely wins out over the Link and Met.
I think that they are just empty spaces with lights on.
If I remember correctly from the plan submittal there is a shell space listed as office use on the Harrington frontage, but that’s it
Look at that sexy tailgate tent, and what’s going on under that blue tarp?
they are load testing the deep foundations and once the structural engineer signs off then it’s off to the races to get the foundation installed and go vertical
Damn we’re bout to have a lot of cranes in the sky at once! Perhaps the most at one time, ever??
You are probably right. Will that make it 5 or 6 cranes in downtown right now?
Let’s see there is: South St tower crane, two (soon to be 3) nearby on Lake Wheeler. 2 still up in Seaboard. Believe there is still one at the apartments going up over Western. So once this goes up (and soon the 2nd one on Hammel off Lake Wheeler) my count is at 8 cranes!!! Am I way off somehow??
If we’re lucky and all these eminent towers actually come through we could have a lot more at this time next year.
For all that we snark on 5-over-1s, all of this energy and population coming downtown makes it more attractive for the audiences that can afford to live in those towers!
