Interesting - the “Electric Supply” building is a big space. I predict that negative reaction number one will be some form of: “I have strangers parking in front of my house because there isn’t enough parking at these new developments!”

Construction fencing went up around The Bend a week or two ago. Noticed today a construction company sign was up. Hopefully we’ll see boots on site soon.

This is the renovation of those old houses? I almost forgot about that project and assumed it was dead. Maybe Goodnights apartments can get started too

Thats the one! Im particularly excited about this one since it’s upfitting older properties. Doesn’t seem like it would go towards the Cornerstone vibe either since thats not really Meeker’s brand.

Yeah, so, about the PIT where the 100 year old Goodnight’s building WAS… can these do-nothing developers that now seemingly demolished an historic building be fined up the ass for sitting on this land? Our city gov’t needs to crackdown HARD on these types of developers that demolish beautiful old buildings just to let the land sit vacant and useless for indefinite periods of time. It’s absolutely deplorable.

I was actually chatting with my husband about this yesterday (in regards to the nasty pit across the street from where Boulted used to be). It seems like there should be something to at least make these empty lots not look so trashy. I can understand (but still not like) if projects have to get delayed or cancelled for whatever reason, but it seems like there should be some level of reasonable appearance standard.

There needs to be a land value tax. Allowing this kind of speculation in urban areas is fucking stupid. Taxing an empty plot of land less property tax than a building next to it that creates jobs, wealth for the city, and a destination for residents nearby makes no sense.

We need to add disincentives to this.

Looks like a 2025 opening.

Exciting stuff! Love the renders. The marble side walks and roads are a nice touch

I’m definitely excited for the marble roads! LOL!

Also just saw this walkthrough of Wolfe & Porter’s update (previously had only seen rendering pics). Definitely looks like a cool space. Last I heard was December got pushed to February for the opening, so not too much longer.

That W+P walk through is giving me East Nashville vibes…linking up all of these West_Morg spots could be a cool night out in fall 2025…

Is this a Cornerstone for grown ups?

Saw on Triangle Food Blog that this may be a 2024 opening. I guess we’ll see.

Also, they mentioned that this “second location” of State of Beer may very well overlap with the original still being open. I know that building had been rezoned for potential new development. Obviously that’s probably on hold like everything else, but it’s interesting to realize that ultimately this new location will likely be the permanent location, as the original eventually closes. I hadn’t thought about that.

Hey Marvin…that’s pretty cool. IYKYK

I switched run clubs and don’t swing by there anymore - so happy it’s happening! Really solid progress.
