Not sure if this has been shared yet but here ya go. Axios Raleigh has a write up on David Meeker’s two projects aka The Bend and SoHi. Has a lot of good details and says he’s shooting for 2023 and 2024 openings respectively.

This was also posted this morning on TBJ. A little more info on the SoHi project. Hopes to start construction March 2023 pending permitting and open concepts Spring 2024 through end of 2024. Only restaurant spaces for short term (2-3 years) vendors trying out their concepts. 2nd floor will be coworking space.
Conflicting news from Axios Raleigh:
Trophy is expanding its Maywood Avenue location and increasing its self-distribution to restaurants and bottle shops.
This makes more sense.
oh thank god. @Phil perhaps our local watering hole is not going anywhere anytime soon.
Even if Maywood did get completely redeveloped, construction would likely be 5 years from now, and I’m sure Trophy would be an anchor tenant.
That’s cool. There are ‘planning/zoning’ signs all up Maywood. Maybe they are also expanding to 5 Points into the building I was told about…or perhaps that deal fizzled. The source who told me owns the building in question. But Kane is gobbling up everything or taking over from smaller players in that corridor…

They have a sign up outside the 3 old houses on Morgan that I hadn’t noticed before. Also, those houses are all in rough shape. Whatever they do with them will be an improvement.
Glad they are calling it the Bend.

Soooo… Trophy Brewing and Five Points… saw a comment on Nextdoor that something beer/food related / along those lines is happening at the big blue “Electric Supply” building on Bickett.
also confirmed with another #insidesource
absolutely amazing for the neighborhood and that little node there with the adjacent new restaurant and potential 4-story mixed-use project at the corner. (but also warning, surely lots of negative reactions because somehow that’s the normal now for Five Points)
