The Fairweather and other condos on S. Harrington

Just imagine it with Bloc 83 potentially topped out and RUSbus in the works by the end of this year!

How did you miss 301 Hillsborough in this dream?? Just imagine a building as tall as The Dillon just to the right of the Holiday Inn, maybe it’ll even block it slightly.

Damn straight - might as well imagine the Nash hotel popping up and sitting just underneath the SECU building (if I’m getting my location right)

Is that top level the roof?

The right side will be a story taller than the left side.

The steel has been delivered!!! Gotta get back it there for some aerial shots!

That thing really commands a vantage over like 300 degrees from that spot. I didn’t think it’d be so prominent. I’m glad its a nicely designed building given that situation. Becomes almost public art when taken together.

I’m going out Sunday (weather permitting) to get some additional DTR aerial shots but for now, here’s from a walk-by earlier this evening.

Note, that two-stories of steel beams tops out the height of the Fairweather.

You know I’m not going out and not getting updated shots of The Fairweather.

Me thinks we’re about to lose the Fairweather crane. :weary:

Of course that means they’re that much closer to September so I’m good with that.

Is that open two story section on the corner of Lenior and West an amenity space or commercial?

It’s listed as commercial but no plans to lease it out. I’m not sure if it’ll be owned by the HOA or developer.

Man, I hope they do. This area could be a sweet little retail zone when it’s all built up. So far it’s one of my favorite nooks in Raleigh, with Cold Off the Press (my favorite coffee in the city, plus great fresh juice that’s reasonably priced, great avocado toast and delicious smoothie bowls), The Night Rider and Wicked Witch, tattoo shop, Boulted Bread, that clothing store, a bodega (in the storage facility building), and soon the Sam Jones BBQ. I want more.

Yeah, you could have something of a North Person St experience going over there soon.

It’s seriously one of my favorite places in Raleigh. Their homemade almond milk is F-ING delicious
