That makes you Destiny’s
Is there anything going on at the Oberlin Hotel sight?
Road closures + dirt being moved I think! (Or will be soon, lots of equipment). Perhaps some demolition.
It is in for building permits. BLDNR-028376-2023 you can see the reviews on public portal.
HUGE progress on the new condo building on Enterprise- looks to be topped* out:
*perhaps not completely, but just meant I think this is as tall as it will be. It fits well with surrounding neighborhood but I wouldn’t mind a few 7-10 story buildings around the Village for more variation.
Zero progress on the (still) empty lot next door…
I think that I’ll keep my concrete construction condo downtown instead of these high priced, stick built condos with “designer finishes”.
This building is going to be massive, I love it. It would be nice to see more complexes like this one be built around the retail buildings.
In the absence of robust transit options/plans, the most immediate thing that we can do is make our walkable locations MORE walkable to MORE people. I completely agree with you on wanting to see more of this. These sorts of projects can reduce car dependency for its residents. When I moved downtown, my miles per year immediately dropped by half, and it’s even lower than that today.
I’ve always loved that apartment building in the background
Any updates on this project or the Enterprise, anyone?
Is parking going underground?
As I recall, it is above ground, but great screening.
I believe it was 2 floors of underground parking, actually, and a couple above ground that will be well screened and not facing the main streets.
The last “arm” of the new apartment complex has slowly been making its way to being topped out, drastically changing the view from my gym:
Bonus drive-by pic of the Big Ass Drill™️ on the forthcoming hotel plot- tower crane coming soon!
New Enterprise St condo building exterior seems to be mostly completed:
I’m a fan of the open-air stairwell in the center, reminds me of old LA motel/apartment buildings:
I have been watching every day for the tower crane for the Oberlin Hotel to go up - the base is installed! Any day now!
