The people who like to be high in a tower and gaze only at a big green expanse have a bit of a king complex. Up above their realm. Its not like your south facing windows are being cast in shadows here (the only time I might raise a height objection). Its north of and far from the West. He should be so lucky as to possibly have a possibly cool building to look at.
Just a random thought I think it would be cool to make some sort of 20-40 story tower on the Zimmer plot and turn the train turntable into a monument or park of some sort like a front plaza to the building
I always thought the warehouse district needed some industrial style or train themed art, but this location works just as well. Not that long ago it was more warehouse filled than the warehouse district is.
This is on the North Central CAC 9/10 agenda for a vote. I had some communication from Zimmer a few weeks ago saying they were going for a vote at the next meeting so it sounds pretty solid. I have an email out to them for confirmation. Would love to have some of this group show up for support! Even if you can’t vote! Meeting starts at 7p.
This is the waiting for a unicorn development ?
I believe this meeting is on the 10th.
Here’s the agenda (PDF)
It’s on the agenda for this meeting.
Correct. I’ll update my post to include the date. Lol
Got confirmation from Zimmer. The vote request for Tuesday night is a go.
Reminder about this CAC meeting where Zimmer will be requesting a vote for their project. I would love to see a good showing here even if it is just to participate with the discussion and you can’t vote. Let’s get downtown representation!
Looks similar to the proposed Soleil Center.
I wonder if they took inspiration from it?
Is that cross street supposed to be Wade Ave? I’m trying to figure where this goes, compared to Smoky Hollow Ph 1 and 3
Looks similar to the Soleil Center.
It’s a nice looking tower indeed
Maybe this will happen now, I wonder what prompted the change to residential.
If your referring to the units and beds number above, that looks like a reference to a different project.
