I thought that it was 18?
Of all the blocks weâve seen renderings of over the last 5 years, I really wrote this one off and thought we were getting others first. But this is really coming together nicely while edison, mcdowell hotel, 400H, etc. lie fallow
I yeah I think youâre right. Nexus was the 19 story one if it actually gets built.
Thatâs a great picture. It really shows how tall this is gonna look with 7 more floors.
Letâs see now, working on what should be the 13th floor now?
But wait a moment, office buildings donât have a 13th floor, so there on the 14th of 18 total floors/levels making only 4 more left?
But agree I do, a great picture!
Some do have a 13th floor.
Pretty sure this has always been a 19 story office tower - maybe 18 sans the 13th. Either way, itâs 263â per the permit review.
I got 18+ the crown. But my eyes are old.
@nipper.dwight, did you like the floor count, or the fact that my eyes are old?
Both because mine are too @ 72 years old p .
Based on the picture, this looks like it about half the height of the completed project. This will be a mammoth when done!
Werenât there rumors years and years ago (IE early 2000s) about the property beside (east) the Holiday Inn being developed? Maybe they took some artistic license, or maybe they know more that we do. maybe that will be Raleigh Crossing Phase IV (assuming II and III get built as proposed).
Hope they have an open to the public preview event like the one for One Glenwood and such. Always out of town when those events happen.
I really donât understand the âskip the 13th floorâ for office buildings. Sorry, but this makes no sense to me. Iâm not particularly superstitious and 13 is just a number between 12 and 14. Here is a screen shot from the Honeywell building under construction in Charlotte (I know boo hiss, whatever). Anyway, there is clearly a 13th floor marked on the construction elevator.
I had a project several years back on the 13th floor of One Bush in San Francisco on the 13th floor. They do exist!
FWIW, One Bush (Crown-Zelllerbach) is a beautiful International Style building that visually floats over a glass âjewel boxâ lobby that sits on a platform that visually floats over its landscaped grounds. Itâs a gorgeous building that Iâd love to see the Municipal campus mimic since park-land type grounds could blend into Nash Square. Iâd even love to see that one block of Hargett be articulated in such a way that it visually connects the property to Nash Sq. âŚbut I digress.
There is no 13 at The West. Goes from 12 to 14.
Truly a cool building in SFâŚnice share!
