its paired out building on-site is also pretty incredible for those who enjoy great midcentury architecture. It’s a circular building with a folded slab roof.
I’m also super annoyed about 13th floor stuff. This isn’t the middle ages. They’re not witches, they’re architects. Seems insanely silly to me.
Silly but not worth being annoyed over.
I let many, many things annoy me
Unfortunately so do I. But I like to tell others to not get annoyed. It annoys both of us.
I’ve been in that building too.
Do you like the building?
TBH, I didn’t think much about it when I was there, many years ago (more than 15) as I wasn’t as interested in architecture then. I’m a fan of mid-century design in general though.
I really wish that they’d plant some trees in that median! With Smoky Hollow 2 nearing completion, and 301 H rising in the background, it certainly does change the feeling of the approach into the city center. I can imagine how much more change is to come with SH3 and Zimmer!
Now we just need that awesome fountain where Capital splits into Dawson and McDowell and we’ll have a really nice entry into DTR from the north.
Yessss! Something big and cascading down. Been day dreaming of this since 1980.
Becoming a more prominent addition to the skyline with every floor:

At least a test of the parking screening:
Not sure if this has already been posted, but Fallon is considering changing plans for the rest of the project, which currently calls for hotel, residential, and retail.
I don’t think this had been posted yet. Can you give a short summary for those of us who don’t subscribe?
A quick read only thing I see is plans for the second hotel, residential building is being re-considered. No details but from tone of following general comments sees may be leading toward more office space.
Really hope they don’t get rid of the residential, as I think more residential close to Fayetteville is desperately needed.
