I really hope there’s no parking in Phase 2… this is already an excessive amount of parking as is.
I mean ideally, absolutely. But let’s be honest here…
Unless plans change, the renderings show the parking podium extending.
Love the upside down triangle !
It would be cool to see that one part have separate lighting from the rest of the building
Thank you for the pictures
Not to be a contrarian, yet I tend to be, but the random geometric shapes from this angle looks a bit contrived… like it’s kind of a messed up rectangular prism
Exactly!!!
Not quite a square box, something different. Just what DTR needs, although a little taller and would have been nice
Yeah I’m really surprised this design is by Duda Paine. Never liked it. Completely arbitrary form making.
You have to use some visual slight of hand and tricks to distract from the ginormous parking deck.!
It’s perfectly fine to be an contrarian and have you own opinions. I never said that I was in love with the building anyway. I was just enjoying how it looked purple as the light of day waned.
That said, I think that there can be beautiful buildings that are rectangles, and beautiful buildings are are not. Likewise, there can be atrocious buildings that are of any shape as well.
Not the best pics to depict the following, but I hadn’t noticed the color of glass on 301 is different be green the left of the slanted line vs right. The extended southern portion matches the northern section. Look great depending on the angle you’re looking from.
Not bad, not good, and certainly not the worst…and of course could be a lot better!
Thank you for the picture! Most appreciated by those like me whom can drive by but don’t have a lot of time to walk around and look up!
i hope this building is well lit at night.
Not the worst I’ve ever seen, but I’m getting tired of podium parking decks. There should be requirements or incentives to build underground parking for buildings of a certain height. Just my $0.02.
I think the city manager or someone directly under her has something under wraps about this, possibly requiring developers to better disguise the deck portion with art, greenery, etc in the near future. It was mentioned in a few of my meetings as an intern.
That would be great.
