It seems like 19 18 floors
Dawg you add like 4 floors every time thereās a new photo. They put up maybe a floor a week, itās gonna be a while stillā¦
Iām getting nervous that theyāve started with the glassā¦ but only above the parking deck levelsā¦ they are still planning on fulling wrapping this entire building in glassā¦ right?
Possibly the priority is getting the building ādried inā for finished spaces since that would be on the critical path of the schedule.
Hopefully.
Just a guess.
Gotcha, that actually makes a lot more sense - so they can continue on interior work once the office/residential portion is fully screened, then move onto screening the deck portion whenever, since it can still be used without screening until then.
Although Iām not seeing the furring strips/mullions for the curtain wall at the parking deck. Doesnāt make sense to send that crew back again for 2 levels when theyāve already installed 6+.
Iām thinking weāre getting a different material over the garage
Thatās correct, its a different theme all together with different materials.
A beautiful addition to the western skyline.
Agreed! Critical path runs through getting the building dried in, work on interiors so you can maintain your schedule. Parking garage always sits on the back burner
Guess what guys I went to the site and I saw they pouring 17 or 18 floors
and you didnāt get any pictures?
Nope because it still look the same
I count 16 stories, with columns for 17 going up.
Letās see if Pedro counts correctly.
Damn this thing is looking huge. The glass is looking niiiiiice.
Iām still in shock this thing is actually being built lol
If this was being designed from scratch now, youād have to wonder if the pool/observation deck would still be oriented southeast towards Fayetteville Street and the CBD or if itād be facing northwest and oriented towards Smokey Hollow and the rest of what Glenwood South will become. If facing NW youād have the advantage of elevation to give it a more dynamic view. Who knows!
