Definitely a slight smell of sex in the air, or maybe just mildew and asbestos.

I can smell the mold and mildew from the photos alone! Great shots!

That lawnmower store building is gone now too, just since Thursday night. They were actively working on it amidst all the green pedestrians walking by.

Is this the uh… dungeon?

They better have the plans in place to start building once the debris is cleared. I’ll be pissed if this ends up another Goodnight’s situation where they demo then just leave it an empty, decaying pit for an indefinite period.

On that note; I wish the city would grow some balls and sue that developer for demoing a 100 year old building then seemingly abandoning all their plans with the land.

The vibes on this forum have been very bad for the past few days. I am issuing an urgent “Touch Grass Warning” to all posters. Effective immediately, all persons reading this notice are advised to go out and touch some grass and report back Monday.

Yeah @Jake go touch some grass! Or smoke some. I get it, we all hate the Goodnight developer people. But it’s gonna be ok I promise! Raleigh will prevail.

I don’t need the invitation bruv, but I can’t do that until I’m off the clock lmao

Yeah I’ve actually had that thought too. I assume if they spent the money on the demo, they are planning to move forward. But then again the demo permits were expiring soon so can we ever be sure? I think I’m sharing from the same trauma as you :joy:

Shush, we’re being silenced from complaining about shady developer practices by folks with more authority, apparently.

Well I’m just gonna share another picture of rubble.

My opinion is you usually don’t see demo in Raleigh without an active very real plan. Doesn’t mean the plan can’t fall apart. But pretty uncommon for them to demo just to then sit purposely.

Are the trees going to be spared in this project? Cause if so that’s a huge win

I dunno, I could kinda see leave it open and have turf field / bball court / big city plaza? Or anyone else remember the “Raleigh Beach” “proposal” a few years back?

Getting ready to relocate the moore square bus station here!
