My wild guess, looking at the crane between the 83-1 and 82-2, It’s not going to be lifting real heavy loads in current configuration. Looks like the load at end of arm is a 12-1 leverage of for every 1000lb it lifted will need over 12,000 counter weight. Wild guess, the concrete floor parts of parking deck are around (40ftX6ft and average 1 foot thickness * 100lb per cubic foot) or 24, 000lb. I did not get good look at crane for Smoly2 deck, but last one I saw up close was building a 7 level deck here in Boone was so big that each tread filled a flat bed trailer on it’s own and never boomed out more than maybe 20 degrees.
for all us engineering novices, is there a “rule of thumb” for when we can expect a tower crane v. a mobile crane?
Those guesses don’t seem that wild.

I’ve been watching this all morning and counting how much more steel is left to go up. Crossing my fingers that I see a few trucks show up with more steel.

If SmoHo2 is any indication, it will rise pretty quickly.
That billboard does a nice job of filling in the space between the very core and Bloc83. 
In the near future, Raleigh Crossing, 400H, RUSbus, and CAM block should fill in this view nicely.
