I imagine there were constraints that required this configuration, but I’m not a huge fan of the tower being at that corner… gives the building a suburban feel, since the primary face isn’t along the street.
In the Tarlton Building about half upper floor housed an interior decorator for many years, with the other half mostly storage, at least when I visited several years ago.
Halcyon should still be there, not sure about the others. That article is consistent with what I had heard regarding the reno, being for professional/office space. Rendering looks nice.
I echo this big time… here exists THREE small/local businesses already, what good is a renovation if they are being hung out to dry and soon only a big/chain retailer will be able to afford rent??? I always much prefer reno’s of vacant buildings in disrepair. Not super excited about this one…
The descriptions of the uses seem in line with what’s already there and past uses. Maybe they really are just making improvements? Revolver used to be on the second floor and I’m pretty sure there was some kind of “creative office” up there across the hall at the same time.
From the article:
… the exact design will depend on the market interest from perspective tenants and … the project would be able to accommodate a combination of tenants or one large tenant
That quote makes me think they’re referring to the office space, but who knows.
