Seriously? …a pirate themed bar?
I did get my addresses mixed up. This appears to be what is Parliament’s replacement. The space is looking a lot nicer when you walk by. New deck and color scheme inside.
Lol I’m down for this! Maybe we can have a dress up meetup there!
Or it becomes an ECU alumnus hangout to watch games on TV.
Hey, that sounds good to me!
According to the Triangle Food Blog, Teets is having their grand opening tomorrow.
“This Saturday, Glenwood Avenue’s newest drinking establishment, Teets, celebrates their grand opening with activities planned all day beginning at noon. They will be serving up BBQ beginning at 2 p.m., live music beginning at 6 p.m. and a Hurricanes pre-season ticket give away. Stop by anytime to congratulate Bates and Anthony Battaglia on their latest venture.”
There’s some movement on the inside of the Vickers & Ruth plumbing spot, aka prime Glenwood retail/restaurant spot. Anyone got any intel?
That’s the long planned venue by Dan L. (Cornerstone) and Milk bar owner whereas the Devolve Moto place would become the bar and the Vickers Plumbing building would be torn down to become the outside area
It’s astounding to me that there’s these little old 1 story buildings on Glenwood South at this point.
It took Blue Ridge a decade or more to accumulate the properties now set to become The Madison.
Charles Long seems to be similarly taking a long term view, especially with Dan always ready to supplement their cash flow in the short term.
That can’t come too soon for the Cornerstone business operators since their rezoning spells the future end to their little cash cow on their current stretch of Glenwood.
Dan operates the Village across the street from cornerstone, Alchemy and I believe is outfitting the little 2-bay garage building next to the AC Hotel. I’m sure I’m missing something else. I think he’s got plenty going on.
Holy crap he’s got a lot going on. I do wish that he’d up his game. His bars look cheap in how they are executed and DTRaleigh deserves better.
I thought the Lambo parked out front was supposed to set the tone for the lugzury inside DanLo’s spots?
I think they’re mostly intended to be temporary concepts so make the most of as little an investment as possible.
Temporary doesn’t need to look trashy.

I’m sure that the folks in that small condo building behind it are going to be delighted. It’s right on top of this venue.
