Feel free to tell them that on their IG page. I did.

I’d like it to be another Howling Cow outpost like the one down by their dairy farm.
The hotel was supposed to go along West Street, across the RR tracks. No site plans yet, thank goodness. That’s where high speed rail is supposed to go.
If this means they’ve abandoned that idea and have moved the hotel into one of the two buildings already in review, then that would make me happy.
Office/parking tower aside… this residential tower is huge: 432 feet! (78 feet taller than The Eastern?!)
No “Hotel Lobby” shown on the floor plans of the updated ASR.
If those heights become accurate, this will make it the second tallest building in Raleigh at 431 feet 11 inches.
Two Hanover is 431 even
Finally… a go big or go home concept
Can you link that ASR? Thanks!
Same link as previous ones, but looks like it might’ve been updated 6-2-22?
Thanks! Literally just reviewed it when you replied lol.
A hair over Two Hannover/Truist building and would be right around the same height given the lower elevation. Now that I think about it, they look fairly similar
I thought something looked different but didn’t realize it got taller.
Overlay with the original outline of the residential… added 88 feet. (!!)
Office tower got around 10 feet taller too I think.
Office tower now listed as 21 stories. Resi as 36 stories.
If only it could go another 10 feet to break 300’. Still struggling to fill the 300-400’ range.
We can only hope the Nexus project is still being redesigned and has at least 1 or 2 towers in this size range.
Damn… this thing is gonna be a beast. I am tempted to say almost too big given the surroundings. However, I refuse to complain about height. I just hope the infill catches up to it over time.
Once the two 20-story towers go in right down the block where the current Cornerstone Tavern houses are, it won’t stick out like quite the sore-thumb. Even less so when Smoky Hollow Phase 3 (one 20-story and one 30-40 story tower) goes up!
Big, maybe up close.
But big from a distance, not really.
IMO…
DTR is in a valley and it’s true height can’t be seen as far away as well as cities like Dallas or Houston due to their flat topography
Certainly Glenwood South is in a valley, but the center of downtown is pretty high compared to its surrounding area.
