I did just drive by and it is as tall as it is going to get (for now). The boom pieces were still on trucks on the street. Sorry no pics tho

Pics or it didn’t happen!

Depending on the tower crane, they usually “self climb” to their working height after initial setup:

Does anyone actually think that this crane :building_construction: will get any taller :face_with_monocle::face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I drove by last night. I feel like it has to get taller.

I prefer the spice and umami flavors of East Facebook

It will have to. This is set to become the 4th tallest building in all of Raleigh, just slightly shorter than the (former) Wells Fargo building.

That shadow is covering most of downtown.

(seriously though, great pic)

This is about the height I’d expect for one of Raleigh’s traditional 20-story boxes, so I’d anticipate this being raised as the building goes up, to at least an extra 50% of where it currently sits. Gonna be really fun over the next year watching this thing get higher and higher :star_struck:

Current crane height is +/- 255’

This is 399’ - the top out height of the building.

This is 450’ - I guess this will be roughly the height of the crane at the end of the project. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

Where was your take-off from? Glenwood or the parking lot in the back? That won’t skew the view much at this point, but the measurement is from one or the other (I’m not sure which one).
