Usually just flame retardant on beams that have doors near them, so in case of fire they won’t fail from the airflow. But yeah this one is definitely cylindrical so maybe it’s going to remain somewhat uncovered in the finished project?
I am pleasently surprized by the mock up. The mystery building might turn out ok.

do we have a skybridge of some sort between the baby building and the mothership? looks like a connection on floor 2 to me. And that top floor height on the main building is ENORMOUS. Wow. Wonder if it’s going to just be for huge mechanical equipment or if it’s going to be some sort of function space with an outdoor terrace or something. Top floor ceiling looks more than 2x the height of the city hall tower top floor mechanical rooftop.

There’s also the Governor’s Mansion.
For certain it’s going to be nicer than all the buildings on Halifax Mall, but I do like the Depression era state buildings that surround the Capitol.
