Olde East Neighborhood

I get that too. And I think these new businesses and the reconfiguration of burial with longleaf will help that feel

That’s a fair way to state it. I’d add that MSFH has a much more city context to its immediate surroundings, with more on the way. I keep hoping that MSFH expands in that church space next door.

That church space has had the signs down for awhile. When I noticed that I got hopeful. I guess we’ll see.

Maybe that’s what they’re going for? I like skinny fries and a charred taste would be a bonus for me.

Power to those people I guess. They get a thumbs down from me and probably every single person in the British Isles.

Ever been to the London Bridge Pub? How do you think the fries are there? (I went on Sunday)

I don’t know haven’t order fries there. Generally it’s impossible to find English style chips in the US. Which is okay on my books since I prefer real Belgian fries more (image two on my fry post).

Tried out BulBox today, just for the truffle wings. Tasty! Also they have a new sign now and the place is looking a lot more normalized and open.

I heard yesterday that the plan is to finish everything inside before starting construction on the grocery store.

Are they constructing another building ?

Yes. There’s a smaller grocery store going on the south end of the property. I can’t find the site plan but it will be a complete new build. I believe the plan is for it to be a Saxapahaw grocery store.

TBJ article with owner Jason Queen today, goes into detail about the Saxapahaw General store they are planning to build.
ā€œThe space behind the patio is slated to hold a 17,000 square-foot building. One of the four tenants in this building will be a grocery store anchor with our partner Saxapahaw Grocery – providing a wide variety of fresh groceries and ready-made options. We’re tentatively aiming to open the grocery by the end of 2020. The grocery is the cornerstone of an entirely new phase that we haven’t even started yet. So yes! Much more to come!ā€

Been waiting for over 2 years now lol.

1 of 4 tenants is news to me. I was under the impression the whole building would be for Sax.
