I hope we get va better design and a hieght that matches hight limit
LOL that toilet one…who needs an Instagram museum? I think that’s the perfect spot for a couples photo!
You can use the restroom.if you have an emergency if you need to jejeje
Btw, that’s the same pic @JKK posted 4 days ago in “Where in Raleigh” and nobody got it.
Imagine going to the bathroom with a view that everyone driving by can see you!
@Yimbyforlife don’t be going and giving people any ideas…
Ugh that prison needs to go. At least it’ll be blocked from this view by the RUSbus hotel tower … but the backside of that hotel are just gonna have even “better” views of it
Aren’t there several mothballed prisons across the state that could stand to be re-opened in exchange for closing Central? What good does a prison do here on valuable land?

Thank you so much
Is that really all of the old facade they are keeping?? That is disappointing IMO
HUGE agree. They went from renders that showed most of the ground floor facade kept to… these two corners.
Waste of money. Should just tear it alll down recycle bricks in new facade. Can not believe the expense to prop up a couple of walls. Decision making history from this entity is questionable.
Reading the last three posts has me thinking they found the perfect compromise!
(Seriously, though, the Warehouse District needs to keep the warehouse facades at minimum or we might as well just give up on having anything unique in this town - given the value engineering we’ve seen I’m happy they at least kept what they did).
Rather have the cool big neon Union sign, and a freaky night time lighting scene, Hong Kong style. Can’t see bricks at night anyway.
How many more months to see the new design
