Show Off Things From Other Cities

This is obviously a guy question especially if you take said question at face value - How frequently would you LIKE to be shirtless. I am assuming you mean in public. In which case, I would have to answer NEVER. Even IF I might like to be shirtless, this would be inappropriate and I would not ever feel comfortable doing so. AND the only acceptable answer on your brain teaser list that MIGHT apply to me in this case would be Rarely, I prefer a light jacket. But if you are indeed searching for the answer of do I like warmer weather- which I do- shirt and all- then often, but not sweating through my shirt would have to do. WHEW. Don’t do that to me again. Please.

Lmao! I guess we could all move to Europe and their topless beaches. But that is outside the scope of this quiz. :joy:

There are 168 cities and you all are scoring Raleigh in the top 10% That’s pretty astonishing and telling. It was 12 for me so in line too.

Raleigh was 50th for me… but maybe I also saw your post and nudged myself to pick answers I knew would be less Raleigh-ish.

Though it is very interesting… Durham was still 13th.

I was going to just post to say I didn’t take the quiz but my cities were:

  1. Key West
  2. Raleigh
  3. Key West

but I actually took the quiz and my cities came in at:
#1 Jersey City, NJ (nope)
#2 Miami (hard no)
#3 Long Beach, CA (could do)
#18 Key West
#32 Durham
#47 Asheville (yes please)
#49 Raleigh (too far down the list!!!)

I completely disagree with the top cities for me. They are all too cold. That said, it gave me Miami at 6 and Raleigh at 13. Durham was 23.

I always really liked Reno. Its been 20+ years since I was there. I am impressed by their light BRT, flying over traffic must really cut drive times!!

I got:

  1. San Francisco
  2. Boston

And then Providence RI and Jersey City… Never would have considered these two places! Never been to either. I need to check them out!

Oh my lawrd y’all - send an emergency cheerwine and bojangles chicken biscuit to me stat!! I got … I am embarrassed to say this … Baton Rouge. :face_vomiting: The only way I move to that dumpster fire is if LSU gives me an endowed chair with sabbatical every other semester. I think I am going to need a shower here - #2 was Little Rock #3 was Bozeman - Raleighwood came in at #31, after Charleston and Winston-Salem. I think affordability, size and college town vibes screwed up the matrix here. I am not playing any more of y’all’s dumb games.

Good thing I am not moving!

I got:

  1. Minneapolis (St Paul #5)
  2. Seattle
  3. Pittsburgh

Then Durham at #11 and Raleigh at #22. Feels pretty accurate. I wanted a bit more cultural diversity, more urban amenities, and real winter (which I would surely get in the Twin Cities).

  1. Seattle

  2. Minneapolis

  3. Tacoma

  4. Raleigh

To be fair - the trolls are dumb.

Tell us more, please. What’s dumb about the thousands of visitors they continue to bring downtown each weekend? In the realm of tourism/attractions/amenities, I’d argue allowing them was the best decision Raleigh has made since purchasing Dix Park. What a boon the trolls have been for our city. Entitled to your opinion, ofc, but dang! Coming after the trolls?!?!

Used to to there all the time when I lived in Massachusetts. The water fire events on the canal that run through downtown are fun. Gotta watch the fairly recent Netflix special on the people that lived in the walls of the downtown mall. That was wild. Fun little city tho. Easy trip from Boston.
