Only if someone will revive the Barrel Monster.

I was wondering when it was going to happen. Nashville getting their next proper tallest (proposal with legs). 60 stories, 750 feet. Among the tallest buildings in the southeast. Charlotte only has two towers taller than this project and one of them is only 36 feet taller.

Miami has 6 buildings going up at this height? Good gravy! Its nice to be the capital of Latin America!!

Miami has a constant stream of tall buildings being proposed, in the pipeline, or under construction.

The only thing limiting them is the FAA since its core is in the flight path of MIA.

The Waldorf Astoria will be Miami’s first building to surpass 1000 ft when completed.

Let’s incentivize the fire marshal from Miami move to Raleigh.

There is a whole lot of good design among those 21 buildings. Interesting too how nearly all of them are residential. But I take it that is the market in Miami, lots of demand for second homes. Thanks for the link @John!!

I hope they all have provisions for future boat docks.

Oof. And we were complaining about parking deck screening in Raleigh—this is 830 Brickell, one of the buildings on that list.

All parking in Miami is above ground for “reasons”. Much of it is offensive as it is in Raleigh, but other projects do a great job of using the decks as a platform for art or unique architectural expressions.

Or a good way to launder money… Read the panama papers and what it has done for Miami real estate.

And provisions for maintenance so they don’t collapse.

Meanwhile in La Louvière, Belgium they have bridges of water over their roads. And we can’t even get a water feature or fountain downtown… Sigh.

This looks like a disaster waiting to happen. Don’t ask me why but a straight river is never a good idea.

99.9% sure it’s a controlled canal

You can tip the scales to 100%. At the beginning of this canal is one of the most elaborate locks in the world, it’s been there 5 or 6 years too. If you’ve ever been to the Panama canal, it’s incredible to see those enormous cargo ships pass through the locks in person.

How can anyone miss commenting on the that wicked hairpin coming out of the roundabout?!!! Talk about tortured road work, lol.

Well, one could argue that it’s speed calming design.

Maybe if the gajillion dollar infrastructure bill is passed we’ll get something like this lol. We can route Crabtree creek over raleigh as part of a new waterway transportation network.
