If you mean the Men’s shelter and the women’s shelter, then yes. The men’s emergency shelter is now at 5010 2nd Street Raleigh. The Women’s Emergency Shelter is at several churches one being First Baptist Church in DTR. The Soup Kitchen was never at either of these shelters.
That’s what I meant, thanks
Well maybe not the best source, but still a source… Saw this just now:
(Pride Month is June, for those who don’t keep up with stuff like that.)
Was Pride Month paused by U NO WHO?
I would be willing to bet that Legends will celebrate Pride month in June even if t-man has other ideas.

For organizational purposes, let’s keep The Depot projects here as, I think, it’s not considered part of the West End.
Yeah, true it is on the other side of the tracks. More downtownish than the Wild Westerners.
Wow this looks amazing! Raleigh has long needed some micro retail spaces. Hoping this project actually happens
This feels thoughtful AND possible at the same time in this market! Anchored by the repurposed Depot, expanding pedestrian activation and adapting the building footprint over the existing surface parking next to the tracks. Excellent gateway to the West End. String lights and fun nights. No one will complain about shadows
Right, I feel like this economic season will somewhat spur smaller incremental development across the city, with big developers scraping for smaller but reasonable returns on their investments.
Personally, I think the warehouse district should be full of mixed-use & mid-sized industrial styled buildings, 20 stories and below, with ample national and local retail stores.
I love that The Depot building will be maintained relative to the previous plan that the NC Railroad group had proposed of only keeping that headhouse of the building where Videri is located. I love Tasty Beverage and would hate to lose it. Seems like a very thoughtful project.
That parking lot is also predatory as all hell. Will be very happy to see that gone.
This looks incredible all around, and this is my favorite scale of urban buildings… Look at the difference it makes to the ground-level experience to have the appearance of 3-4 buildings that are porous to pedestrians, compared to a single podium built over the entire block that would be more typical of a developer’s approach in Raleigh. Often this is driven by structured parking, so I’m curious if/how they are accommodating parking in this plan.
Also, funny how development on this site was previously “feasible” only if they demolished the Depot. I called bullshit on that one and glad to see that seems to have been right. Did the property change hands? Loden wasn’t involved before, were they? I consider them one of those most thoughtful, locally-minded developers, and it’s a win to see them involved here.
Parking in that taller node pushed up against the tracks and Davie…
I’m curious about this neat little postage stamp spot back on Cabarrus next to Legends…
I wonder if this will actually happen tho, or if it’ll be like almost every other project. I want to believe, but I’ve been hurt so many times before.
This looks great to me. I think the warehouse district is fine with a few taller buildings but mostly midrise. Hopefully since its not a tower it’d be more likely to get built.
Fascinating that it opens up the ‘back’ of the depot building to basically double the sidewalk frontage and really extend Commerce Place as the pedestrian-only spine of the warehouse district.
this right here was a fantastic and important decision
For those of us wanting more height in DTR, hopefully the CAM block will give us something taller backing up to the tracks (eventually). I think the last plans from several years back has fizzled out at this point.
