White going up on the SE corner as well!
I thought the exterior cladding was going to be all black, so I am super excited to see the white going up.
Ahhh, a big one under contracr
Yikes
It’s priced per sqf. So, big unit, big chunk of the fees.
The renderings Monarch had created (the ones you see anywhere you look) have a more cream colored second color. The renderings RaCO had created that never got published outside of their Instagram had a more accurate white vs cream color.
For instance:
“Gourmands thrill at this kitchen w/ ample wine storage…” Well, I guess gourmands would like it too.
It’s all relative. That’s an enormous condo. Also, don’t look at HOA dues in major cities if you aren’t near a fainting couch.
Looks like that huge ground floor spot will be a retail space, after all? I seem to remember you stating at some point that they had no plans to lease it out
EDIT: Restaurant, more likely based on the seating but you know what I meant!
They plan to lease it, they just haven’t had any takers from the last I heard. I suspect it won’t take long once things start to spruce back up.
Right before we ran by. There are crews working on the white facade on both the north and south sides of the building.
Good news then! I want to keep seeing this little area become a new retail/restaurant mecca of downtown.
Can’t wait for the lots next door to fill in. Also imagining a 20 story tower to the left of the storage building in photo 2 makes me excited
Yea, would be a game-changer if that ends up being a real development proposal and not just an upzoning value grab.
Annoying request BUT- can you do this, and add the 3-ish story townhomes on the right side of the Storage building, a 20 story building to the left of the Fairweather (I believe that’s what the potential hotel developer has already had it rezoned to, but it might just be 12-15, I’m not positive), and the potential 30-40 story buildings on the Memorial Aud. lots?? South end of DT could end up becoming incredibly dense with all this.
Think the 401 W Cabarrus project might be out of the frame to the left. Park City South would also have a huge impact on density feel, but out of frame to the right.
Oh no I was talking about the hotel project that was rezoned immediately next door to the Fairweather! (currently that little brick building). But man this looks crazy. Downtown South would probably be visible in this to the far right as well!
